Tailgating advice saints games

So I will be in NOLA for a conference during the Saints/Miami game on Sept 30th. I am traveling solo and am looking to take in the whole tailgate/NFL experience as I am from out of the country and have never been to a game.

Any advice from the locals? Getting into the game is no big deal but the tailgating aspect has me unsure... Do I just wander up the street and have some fun? I am ok if this is the case or is there some etiquette that I should know before?

Some of the greatest times of my life have happened just wandering into scenarios like this so I expect it will go OK... I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do after the game
