El Paso is incredibly safe. It is routinely in the top 5 safest cities in America (with a population over 500K) year after year after... Don't believe the rumors and don't worry about it being a bordertown. It is not an issue in beautiful Glory Road El Paso, Texas USA. Yup!

It is not near San Antonio though. It is about 550 miles west.

Any hotel off 1-10 is good and/or safe. I would recommend the east side of town.

Well if you driving from San Antonio to El Paso, you should really consider looping up and catching Midland. We'd love to see you.

I am definitely coming here and have received a warm welcome. I had to delay my trip for a few reasons, my car wasn't prepared to travel 35 hours round trip and I was blissfully unaware of this.

Also, I had a family issue and I can't leave my area for another two weeks or so, I have to stay close to home.

I wanted to make it out this week, but it was wishful thinking, I was pushing it!!!

I will announce when I have made arrangements.
