Did you hear the one about the narcissistic president...

who spoiled a planned wedding of two soldiers (no, they're not gay) so he could plan through on a hole of golf? There is no punchline unless you count the Mad Boy-King himself. The two army captains had planned their wedding in Hawaii and had flown their families to the event but the Mad Boy-King could not, would not, play around the event. Since he is their boss (and they are laying people off from the army) they have tried to cast the event in a favorable light.

You may not have heard of this event because like Tampon, you were distracted by very old news.

Have you heard about the President who after finding out about this calling the couple and talking with them on the phone to apologize?

The couple said the move was no problem and had enjoyed watching the President play through.

JD is by far the biggest fool posting in this forum if you don't count CuteOldGay.

Judy failed to point out the wedding party got even a better place for the wedding.that both were military, and the groom asked what Obie shot which was a 84.
Come on now, there is no way that President Obama can be held responsible. One of his "handlers" no doubt made this decision. Paid lackeys often do stupid things in their quest to impress. I doubt The President even knew about it before he was told.

If fact, it would have been a phenominol public relations score if he would have been told, and he let them go on with their plans, perhaps even make a impromptu appearance.

I find very little that I agree with The President on, but this one is not on him.

As for the President's score, I think everybody knows by now that the only reason he golfs so much is so he can smoke.

You're both wrong. One of the sisters of the bride said that she was pretty broken up but since he is the CIC and she is a soldier....
Also, what if it were you and you found out that you had been responsible, a gift, an appearance, cancel your game (you're the president, you can do that), or at the very least discipline someone who is responsible (there is a word you don't hear in this White House) for what happened. So what would you do President EVA?

For the record, it will take a remarkable degree of conceit and gall to top Slick Willie the Perjuring Sexual Predator's narcissistic disregard for the public as displayed when he shut down LAX for a friggin' haircut.

What do you want JD, our commander in chief never claimed to be gracious, just arrogant, with his veto pen in hand.

Two Army Captains Forced To Move Wedding For Obama

Posted 05:08 PM ET

Leadership: An Army couple is told to move their wedding from the 16th tee of a golf course so President Obama can play through. Is it any wonder that his approval rating among the military is at a record low?

Just 15% of active-duty service members gave their commander in chief a thumbs-up in the most recent Military Times survey, with 55% saying they disapproved of the job that President Obama is doing. It certainly didn't help his image when two Army captains were told hours before their wedding that they had to move it so Obama could play through on the golf course they had selected as the nuptial site.

The president called to apologize to Captains Natalie Heimel and Edward Mallue Jr. for interrupting their plans to marry at the 16th tee box at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course, on Marine Base Hawaii, on Sunday. Obama regularly plays there when he's in town, and those scheduling an event there are advised that a presidential visit could disrupt their plans.

Still, it's not as if the president doesn't have people who can recognize bad optics, and the irony here is that the couple, according to a Bloomberg report, actually took a chance and invited the president to their wedding, knowing that he often spends time in Hawaii over Christmas. They received a letter saying that the president couldn't come but wished them luck.

Then the president told them that they had to move; his lust for golf trumped their plans. One could put this down as an isolated scheduling snafu, but we have in our minds that photo of a Marine in full dress uniform holding the presidential umbrella as Obama spoke in front of the White House. Or the "latte salute" with a coffee cup from Marine One that he gave to two attending Marines at the bottom of the steps.

The president's 15% approval rating among active-duty military isn't due merely to the bad optics of such incidents. It's the result of a defunded and dispirited military led by a disinterested commander in chief who, on Nov. 20, 2009, when Obama flew to Osan Air Base in South Korea to speak to American troops, were told, "You guys make a pretty good photo-op."

The military has watched a failed foreign policy in which a precipitate pullout from Iraq saw town after town that had been liberated at great expense in blood and treasure, starting in Fallujah, fall to jihadis and an Islamic State whose rise Obama was warned about but ignored. Many feel with some justification that their sacrifice was for naught, ignored by a president obsessed with keeping a campaign promise to withdraw from a land where so many lost their lives and limbs.

I don't think Obama had any idea he was disrupting a wedding. It's stupid to make a big deal out of this. It detracts from the things Obama is doing that are truly destructive.

Whether he knew about it at the time is not the point. When he found out (from watching MSNBC) he should have taken some action. Imagine (I'll try this again for EVA's sake) you're the president and you found out that YOU, not someone else, disrupted their wedding. Don't you think that you'd do something for the couple and then kick the ass of the person who allowed this to happen?
