6 years U.S. Army here. 1st deployment to OIF IV. 2nd deployment to OEF 08-09.

7 years and counting...
Drafted July 1967, US Army, Basic Training at Ft Bliss, Tx, Ft Riley Ks for Duty, TDY to Como School at Ft Benning Ga, levied for Nam as Como Sgt, not quite 6 months "In Country", got legs all blowed up while setting 292 ground plane antennas, spent last months in Germany. ETS June 1969. From then on, it was Women and Children first.

Yes, they took me kicking and screaming. And I have had contempt for the Bastards ever since. But I went.

6.5 yrs active duty Army here.

2nd Ranger Battalion, Ft. Lewis, WA.

Medically discharged with fracture in spine in two places (40% disability rating. Damn, you need 50% to be able to park...) from a fall during a patrol mission.

Miss being part of the greater cause...
