Of course, it has ties to George Armstrong Custer, too. He uttered "forward" right before he led his troops into the meadow at LBH.

You guys are too much.

Really weak shit there, IIFY. Of course (what else could be expected?), you missed the point by the proverbial country mile: lots of people have used "forward." You TPer geniuses only get so much - your 15 minutes of my time are up.

It is probably no accident that Obama is using a word for a political slogan that has a long history of being used by the left.

Obama doesn't try very hard to hide his socialist beliefs. I think sometimes he more or less tells us he's a socialist. Obama's recent propaganda film, being used to launch his presidential campaign, is titled "The Road We've Traveled". The title bares a close likeness to the title of a book written by a socialist advisor to FDR named Stuart Chase. Chase's book was titled "The Road We Are Traveling". The book was published in 1942 and is basically a blueprint for transitioning our system into a socialist/communist system. Obama took Chase's title and changed it to past tense as if to say mission accomplished, to celebrate that America has arrived at the destination that Stuart Chase and FDR had dreamed of seventy years ago.

Custer died in 1876 and it was on the banks of the Greasy Grass River as the Souix called it. It was not a meadow and, like has been pointed out, he didn't say forward. I know you're confused but there are several good books on this if you're really interested. Of course this doesn't change the fact that "forward" has long been a rallying cry of the communist party on four continents. So now Obama is going full socialist and you notice the day they're rolling it out to the public.

I think the proper analogy would be a pirate ship striking his false colors and running up the Jolly Roger.

Glad you guys can operate Wikipedia. The conversation is now about Custer, not the OP's "point" **cough-cough.** As is ALWAYS the case with TPer tripe, if there was any "there" there, it wouldn't be so easy.

Hey we are open minded and can discuss a wide variety of topics once we have made the irrefutable point as opposed to the randy4candysticks types that are so closed minded.

The point has been made and now we have fun at the expense of the mental midgets.

I thought Custer's last words were "Oh Fuck, That's a lot of Indians"
Custer was probably a liberal.

That's OK, T2Schnauzers, keep telling yourself that. Hee hee, yep, Custer was one of those West Point educated Marxists all righty.
