The rest of her statement was the building would be secured from the outside. Problem was that did not happen either. Structures outside the perimeter are often assigned to local law enforcement to secure. The question is did the secret service formally assign that building complex to local law enforcement to secure? If that was done then I don't think you can fire her. If it wasn't then whoever was in charge of creating and executing the operations plan for that venue should at least be demoted if not fired.
There were snipers from local police in building #2 on the second floor. They were looking at the stage area where Trump was speaking. The shooter was on the roof of building #1. There was a sweep of building #1 about 30 minutes before Trump started to speak. The building was never secured or blocked off from the public.
