Could the Rangers BLOW IT!?!

I love baseball, played and coached the game for years and been a Ranger fan since Billy Martin managed the team. Wheres a Billy Martin when needed to lead the team? I hear how well Wash has done to lead this team, yet I count a dozen games in which his poor decisions have cost the team victories. Yep, if any team can blow a 9 game lead with 14 to play...it will be the Washington led Rangers!!

I hope they make and do well in the playoffs, but the weak link is not injuries and missing Hamilton fromn the lineup....it's Ron Washington and his lack of ability to make the right call at the right time.

They could, but they won't. And how is it that a manager's decisions can be blamed for a team not scoring? They're in a slump without Hamilton. Period.

And in today's sport's world, the job of a coach isn't so much x's and o's as it is keeping millionaires and soon to be millionaires relatively content and happy so that they play well together. Washington seems to be doing an excellent job of that. The players are behind him. That's worth far more than the two ore three games a year a great in-game manager might steal for you.
Could they blow it... Yes, They are the "Rangers".. They have years of practice "Blowing it".. Will they???? Prolly not.. Will they get past the first round of playoffs???
Prolly Not.. They are the "Rangers" and have had planty of Practice "Blowing it"....

The Rangers have SUCKED all my years in Texas and now that they have a good thing going some people are getting Cowboys syndrome and calling for the coach's head. Gimme a break, Wash should be a candidate for manager of the year. Look at what he has done with what he has.

And since you claim you know so much about baseball answer me this, how many triple crown candidates can be removed from a lineup WITHOUT it hurting a team? They have overcome injuries all year long and done a decent job. No other team with this many injuries to their starting group (games lost by starters) is anywhere close to competing for the playoffs.
