STD's

I am sorry if this is a retarded question (I am ridiculously new). I tried using the search feature but fond nothing so I thought I wold ask.

How do clients / providers protect against STD's? I understand condom use so that is not what I mean. I mean in situations like DATY and BBBJ

How/How often do providers and clients get tested?

Hoping to jump into the hobby but this one (and multiple other) has me worried. Thanks again!

there are a lot of providers that only allow cbj and if you're worried there are dental dams
