Stereotypes

Here is a list of stereotypes that people have about pornstars. It is debunked by Asa Akira. How close is this list to the stereotypes that the general public has about providers?

Everyone sees the world through the prism of their experience, life's bumps and blows either polish or pit the prism.

A female coworker and I used to talk about the "oldest profession" occasionally while on the road together over tequila (sipping, not shots). Her fall back was always that any woman who did this was "damaged" at an early age. I always refrained form pointing out how "damaged" women were who consider sex "dirty" and "something they have to do to stay married" by overbearing mothers (or fathers).

Porn, like providing, is a job. Like any job some probably let it become their entire life, but the smart ones keep it in perspective.

Interesting article, and thanks for sharing.
