This may shock some of you youngsters but there was a time when there were only 3 news programs that lasted 30 minutes. Cronkite was the anchor of CBS news from 1962 to 1981 and was called "the most trusted man in America". Until Cronkite gave his personal opinion on Vietnam it was said that you couldn't tell whether the man was a Democrat or Republican. He read the news without comment.
Just the news! That is what the news use to be.
