Casino advice

I want to take my sugar baby to Shreveport.

Does anyone know how to negotiate free rooms and meals?

If I deposit say $1500 to gamble with over 2 days, what sort of comps can I expect?

NONE. If you want comps, deposit 5000. The casinos are wise to this tacktic. A guy comes in and deposits his check and promises to gamble it. He does not. He stays there the weekend on them and then withdraws the rest.

5000, gets there attention, 1500, does not.

Depositing $5k won't get you anything, either. The casinos base comps entirely on your action (total bets placed) and the house edge of the games you play. If you have never played there before, they will assign you a host and a players card. Use the card when you play and your action will be recorded. Go see the host at the end of your stay and the computer will tell him how many comps he can give you. It's all math.

Although I didn't go to casinos often, whenever I did I'd do this.

Get a comp card as soon as you register.

Sit at the type of table you like, and drop 2-3 Benjamins and your card so they can "money in" and track the card. If you want, drop 5 at a time.

Play for a bit only gambling what you would normally and no matter how much is on the table in front of you, do it again.

Money up and change tables.

Do that again.

After the 2nd table take a piss, grab another drink maybe a bite to eat and then take the chips to the cashier and get folding money again.

Repeat that process a few times.

Since you are there with an escort, I would not advise her doing the chips to cash but having someone else do that for you (giving someone else your chips should be done in such a way that it doesn't attract notice.)

If you are a half way decent player and can avoid losing everything, you'll enjoy hours on the table looking like you are cashing in a ton of cash but can go home with the casino thinking you spend big.

If you are planning to be there for more than a day, at the end of the day, find a host, hand them your card and ask about dinner. if you've pushed enough cash through the card, you might not only get dinner but the room.

Last time I was in Shreveport for a weekend it worked like a charm.
LazurusLong has a good stratagey but, they monitor in 6-8-hour-shifts. once you give your players card and a few bens, no need to do that again, at the same table, until shift change. (if you change tables or the type of game your playing, then give players card and a few bens again. (always cash out, never bring chips to a different table/game.) I go to shreveport once a month (sometimes 6-weeks) and spend 2 nights there.

They monitor how long you play, what games you play, and how long you stay at hotel. Even if your on your way out the door, always swipe your card at those "give away" machines for contests. If you do this, they will mail you free stuff. FREE rooms, (weekends too) food, drinks, gifts (crystal vase, etc), spa, and cash. Yes cash, they will mail you gas money ticket to get there. usually 20-50 bucks. It's a completely free weekend. they just want you to gamble. I have never paid for a room in years. Just make sure you book your reservations 2-3 weeks in advance because they fill up fast.

There are cameras everywhere on the casino floor and they frown on ladies that are looking to take the men away from the tables. some ladies get a room at hotel, and if you can see who's visiting shreveport, she might be at same hotel that you are in. Send her a PM and get room number without even leaving hotel. Most ladies don't stay at casino hotels in shreveport, because of strict security there. security watches the clubs/bars for pick-up ladies.

It's best to have arrangements before hand or bring a SB. I wish more providers would let us know when travling there and which hotel. I like the Eldorado more so over horseshoe because their more freely with their comps. Also check the SHREVEPORT forum and P411 for ladies in shreveport or visiting. I just love when i find a Provider that is staying at the Eldorado casino.

Hope this helps,

CG, nice point about the shift change. I forgot about that. If I'm playing, I will typically stay at the tables for minimum 12 hours at a time and if I feel a table is getting 'cold" I move and sometimes to a completely different pit.

As I said, it has been too many years since even Shreveport but this thread makes me want to head back. I have a friend who hits OK all the time for poker but the way he talks about the "skim" at each table makes me question WTF are they doing!!

Anyone that plays Blackjack in OK, do they have a skim per hand there like for poker?

One other thing to remember is that if you stay at the Horseshoe and play on your players card there, those comps count there in shreveport and also at several casino/resorts in vegas.

It's called "Total Rewards" The more you play, the more rewards you get.

I've been going out to Shreveport for several years and quickly gained comps through Samstown and the Horseshoe. Sign up for players cards and they will start sending you discounted room rates first and then you will see one and two night free rooms. Free food offers also start at this point. And I'm not a huge player. I will spend $200 a few times each year. Good luck!

I've been in the casino biz for about 18 years now and I'll share a few points.

Casinos have different ways of determining how much they will comp you but all rely on action that has happened already, so you're going to have a hard time getting anything before you gambled anything yet.

Depending on the system the particular casino uses, shift change usually doesn't have a whole lot to do with anything these days unless they're still using the old Vegas methods of rating players. What does matter is how much you play on a particular trip. A trip is determined by action during your stay with no more than 24 hours of inactivity. If the system sees no activity for a 24 hour period, it ends that trip and you basically have to start over building your worth to the casino.

As far as table games in OK, Blackjack is a bad play but poker isn't too bad. The state of Oklahoma mandates that casinos collect an "ante" of $.50 for each hand of Blackjack up to $100 bet and after that it's some %. This totally ruins the odds of winning for most players. In Poker the house collects what is called a "rake" of what I believe is 10% of the pot, which if you think about it for a minute, barely pays the dealers and expenses for the poker room.

Anyway, that's just my $.02 worth....

Seapickle, if I sign up online before I go will I see any offers or do I call ahead?

I stay at the Rio and Wynn in Vegas. I had a line of credit opened at each I call ahead and when I arrive they pick me up and I am comp'd room and meals. It is math but not rocket science.
