Here Comes the Sun... To TAN or Not to TAN

Mr Peabody Here,

I was once speaking with the owner of a tanning salon, and he claimed his best customers were strippers and escorts.

I am wondering whether there is a cultural component to the practice of tanning your body.
I suspect that the younger providers who know they will live forever are advocates of tanning. We'd especially like to here from those ladies who advertise California and Tan in their ads. Also, feel free to let us know where your nude sunbathing might occur.

LADIES, do you; or do you not tan yourself and why?

I'm not an advocate of tanning beds, however if I end up getting a tan while swimming (or drying off poolside then so be it. Nothing wrong with a natural, healthy tan. But I'm not gonna go overboard.
But I'm also old enough to know what tanning can do to the skin.
I might fake bake for a starter tan, but that's about it. No more fake bake or spray tan before pix. I will tell ya that! It turns you orange and makes your hands/nails look dirty, lol! I found that out the hard way when I went with the darkest shade. Fun times!!

I prefer the sun myself and just roll with my paleness in the winter.

Mmmmmmmmm, love me a woman sporting the summer uni-freckle.....
OP’s post and some key words caught my eye. Spray Tanning! Something I know a bit about. One of my many ventures in Colombia is http://www.california-tans.com/ Although I do occasionally spray a “working girl” , our business is primarily Modeling Agencies and Photographers. If a quality solution is used and applied properly a beautiful natural tan can be achieved lasting 6-8 days. Here are some pics of an event I did recently at Disco Mantra. What do you think?

muitíssimo obrigado Airjunky,

A curious mind can't help but move on to the next logical step: patterned tanning.
If you are going to tan anyways, why not have a pattern such as a leopard or giraffe pattern?

Of course there is the ultra-sexy raccoon look: tan-lines both on top and tessellated triangles below. Surprisingly, I have not seen the tan-lines here on eccie.

I am outside a ton, swimming, walking, hiking..I am person who tans very easily, even with spf 50 sunblock. I can't help it, I tan. But i would never use a tanning spray or bed; beds are dangerous. Which brings up another question about tan lines. It usually can't be helped but I know some men love em and some men hate em. For a gal like me, just can't be helped.
