Good places too stay??

I was going to stop in Houston on my way to Dallas and was wondering if anyone had a good area they know of too stay in?? Price isn't an issue mostly concerned with safety and LE action.

The Galleria area is a good spot.Good central location.Close to several eateries,bars.But stay away from Hotel Derek.LE hangs around there from what I've heard.
