Ladies and Gents: How did you pick your username?

What inspired you to choose your username or the name you work under? I named myself after the 1950's actress Ava Gardner, and I think I have allure LOL, so the name is Alluring Ava. Interestingly there seem to be a lot of Avas around and there is one whose name is so close to mine, I sometimes get e mails from men who think she's me.

Instead of saying "yes" my reply is 10-4, when I agree with someone you hear 10-4, and they all call me 10-4.
A football score was 10-4 and I thought they were talking about me.
The women need to be a 10 and I need only 4 minutes.

A long time ago I had the name Leilani which was the Hawaiian version of my real actual first name, so I used that instead. But Ava just seemed more appropriate, because my personality is so close to her stormy, passionate portrayal of the Barefoot Contessa. In my heart I always thought I was more Latina/gypsy because of my bohemian but elegant style and how I have always loved to dance.

I considered the name Katana but that's a sword in Japanese and sounds a little, dangerous.

Complaining and they think I am YMMV, it would be nice if it were in reverse.
I do 10 minutes and she is a 4 on the scale but you can always turn her around and do doggy. Out of sight and out of mind.

I first used this handle on the old escorts.com site when they asked me to choose one. I thought for a while and wanted to pick something that might be remembered easily. I used to have a buddy who would talk about "laying pipe" a lot in reference to fucking. So, I chose Pipefitter. I do get questions asking if I'm a union Pipefitter or Plumber but most folks understand the name implies I really wanting to use my pipe on the ladies.

I was looking for a name that I could tie into an email, and I always liked the quote "I may bend, but you will not break me". I wanted my standard DazedandConfused, but it was not available.

Looked through my favorites of the photos I'd taken, saw plenty of tigers already on the old board, but no lions. And I'm always too honest for my own good.
