Is Austin still "weird"?

But seriously, I'll be visiting Austin next weekend, and I'm wondering where are the best areas to stay? Where to eat? What to do/see?
Hopefully, I can meet some new friends as well...

I haven't been to Austin in a while, so I feel like I'm out of the loop!

A couple of dozen new hotels have sprung up around the airport. Decent rates too, and easy access from all parts of the city since they completed the 183 toll road. But most ladies choose to stay near the Domain.

The domain or arboretum are the best places to stay... Near mopac and 183. Just watch that your not in Williamson county.
