I am planning a trip and need to know what areas are good to stay in and areas I should avoid. Any good hotels and ones to avoid.
Hey darlin, welcome to New Orleans. Where to stay often depends on what you can afford. Summer is a less expensive time for tourism, but staying the in the French Quarter is more expensive than staying in Metairie. Within New Orleans, I would start with hotel searches in the FQ, Central business district (CBD), warehouse district and garden district. Yeah we have lots of districts. Outside New Orleans I would recommend Metairie but more upscale hotels, since there are also some rat pits in Metairie.

Let us know when you are visiting. It would be nice to know more about your rates. If you have a good website or other recent ads, it would be nice.
