In a thread a couple of days ago, Asswipe used the label Messikins to describe Mexicans. He proclaimed that Messikn is not a racial slur, and that it's a popular label in Texas. Are the Mexican people cool with being called Messikns? What say you?

when I was a kid, we called mexicans "Mexicans", and they called themselves mexicans. and many still do, but it wasn't a term representing an allegiance to a country, merely a descriptive term more than anything


and the term "messkin" was a racial slur then and today it still is and probably more so

there is no equating that with saying coonass
