It's hard to believe that 20 years have passed since SRV died in a helicopter crash. It's especially sad to think about how he had been overcoming his demons and turning his life around, only to have it end in a blink of an eye.

I'm grateful that I had the chance to see Stevie play live at one of the T-Bird River Fests a few years earlier. It was incredible to see in person what he could do with a guitar! I think I'll put my copy of "In Step" on the turntable this morning and give it a listen.

He was one of the best and has been sorely missed by all real music fans....especially here in the ATX. RIP Stevie Ray.

I saw him at the Cotton Bowl in Texas when he opened up for The Who.

Thanks for the post and the acknowledgement.The first time I saw him was at the original Antone's on 6th St.He did not have his own band at that time and was playing with Paul Ray and the Cobras.It was a great show.They let him step up and be frontman to play and sing the old Otis Rush tune,"All Your Love".

An extraordinary musician and performer!

Got plenty of his stuff.

the man may be gone but only his physical body. his music and spirit is still alive and well in austin texas. LONG LIVE THE MUSIC OF SRV.
