I have a post up inquiring about someone I eventually saw and learned was completely UTR. Is there a way for me to remove my own posts/threads I have started, and is this the right way to handle something like this?

Use the 
icon that appears to the left of the post to report it to the Staff and we can edit the post for you.
We do not remove posts unless there are serious privacy/security issues involved.
