Hobbying/Working

I was wondering do hobbyists with 9-5 jobs (w-2's/paychecks) get more respect or viewed highly than girls who just hobby all the time???
Sometimes I get a very surprised reaction when my clients find out that I actually have a REAL job, lol. I just wanted to know what everyone else had in mind

Stacy...I don't think respected or highly viewed enters into MY equation at all. The fact that a 9-5 job means that her job is during my prime playtime does. Maybe some others have this similar problem.

I coulndt have a 9-5 job even if I wanted. Taking care of my mom that drives me nuts is enough! Lol love her but I go crazy. I'm happy just bein a provider for Now! Whoo!! Lol
I mean I hobby on my free spare time but when I tell ppl that I also work in the dental field currently I get the exaggerated "oohh" or the raised eyebrow look with the, " oh you have a REAL job look, lol idk I guess its just wondered if any other providers also had a 9-5 and got these same responses
Summer Breeze I think has a 9 to 5 but I hadn't talk to her in about 6 months. But that is the only one

In Dallas I have known many providers who have a 9-5 job, the most would be providers going to nursing school and providing to pay her way, that must be why I like nurses, JR

I don't get why they'd be surprised ...... we ARE real people lol. Many of us have families, go to college, some have kid(s), some are married, some even have "square jobs"/"civvie" jobs (which is what I guess you mean by a "real job") etc.
