They are draining Lake Conway to do improvement work to the lake. They have removed all limits on fish.They also tagged 500 fish with tags worth $50 each, to encourage people to fish. The fish will drain out into Palarm creek and into the Arkansas River as the lake goes down.

If you want a combination of fun and fishing go to the Buffalo River and rent a canoe from a river outfitter. The smallmouth bass fishing is excellent and there are many other fish species to catch, you'll have a blast. Use a Rebel crawdad lure 2" in size. Another good place to fish is the Little Red tailwater in Heber Springs and the Spring River in Hardy, Arkansas. Use a canoe rental service for the Spring river and take the trip from Dam 3 to the Many Islands Camp & Canoe Rental, the trip is about 10-12 miles.
