Petite???

I'm a big fan of petite women. When did petite change from "small and attractively dainty build" to "short" and why? I did a search last week when I was in OKC and at least half the providers that listed themselves at petite were on the bigger side of height/weight proportionate standards.

It's getting to be too time consuming to find a provider I'm interested in
