Best BBQ in Vegas

Boltfan's Avatar
Going to be spending some time here and need to get the lowdown on some top quality BBQ. I love a good smoked brisket and so far haven't found anything that compares to Texas.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
For the right price I can teach you to make your own! I know what you mean my friend. It is a good thing to live in Texas. If you can find authentic brisket anywhere else you have found a rare gem indeed. Good luck.
Not to rub it in, but I think I will have some for lunch today!

You got to go to the North LV hood for it, but there is none better in town
http://www.johnmullsmeats.com/
Plan ahead, they close at 6pm and closed on Sunday

Second would be Lucilles

Third would be Memphis Championship

....brisket!!
Alessia,

I am traveling to Vegas Thursday from Texas. Are you suggesting you are willing to trade for some seriously good brisket? I am beginning to think I need to hold a clinic while I am in town so you good people can provide for yourselves! Half the beauty of brisket is chilling and enjoying some cold barley pops while you wait.

Can I open carry if I go to NLV?

I know how to make a brisket, just hard to find a place that sells them with a good enough fat cap. Might need to spend time finding a good butcher too.

DO NOT Open Carry in North Las Vegas even if you have a Las Vegas CCW Permit.
The incorporated city of North Las Vegas has a City Ordinance that prohibits the transportation of loaded guns in vehicles. Although this ordinance is in violation of NRS 268.418, the City of North Las Vegas simply ignores the state law. You may be cited, arrested, and prosecuted by the City of NLV for violating this ordinance; even though Nevada State Law dictates they can't have the ordinance in the first place. It is not worth the risk. In Fact, I wouldn't even advise anyone to live in North Las Vegas.

Bolt, Lucilles has a few locations. Green Valley location is my favorite.
Try the burnt ends at Memphis, still brisket just different prep. Got to expand your horizons a little bit LOL!
And you still need to get up do Mull's, NLV be damned. Its worth it.

OK, no trade, no open carry (doesn't matter, TX chl has no reciprocal in NV) and North Las Vegas sucks. Learned a lot here. I won't bring briskets, but I did pick up 4 packs of bacon jerky for the trip.
