Let's run a thought experiment.

1) Assume most hobbyists and providers are out there screwing without protection.
2) Assume nobody is getting tested.
3) Assume a bunch of providers have STDs.

So what? How will that affect your behavior - because your personal behavior should be the only issue. Either accept any latent risk and cover up if you are concerned, or if that doesn't create sufficient comfort, get the fuck out of the hobby (and probably just quit fucking altogether).

It's just not that complicated. If that doesn't answer your concerns, then you have a different agenda and should be honest to put it out there.

I am sure that most providers want to be STD-Free. Who wants to be sick with any desease process?

Yet the number of sexual contacts alone increases the chances that they will have intimate contact with some guy who has something. Despite diligent care in screening, hygene and precautions ,some providers (most?) will become infected with an STD at some point. This is why hygene and condom use is so important for everybody at all times.

And yet, I suspect that having many sex partners in the civilian world might be even riskier.

Civies aren't STD free so why would escorts be free of it.

There's no right or wrong answer here. It depends on the lady. Ideally you would think a high-end escort would be clean because she realizes that her income relies on her staying clean and safe, but things happen and not everything is visually detectable.

you need to get your own self STD tested atleast twice a year. the #1 reason is if you start dating someone outside the hobby not to give them something, you can destroy a relationship that way.. and if you are married and your wife finds something wrong and gets tested you are screwed!

a lot of counties have done away with cheap or free STD testing due to all the cutbacks in government. plus it takes like 10 days to even get results and they keep your results on file

you can get anonymous STD testing here for under $200 which is well worth the peace of mind. if you can't afford to spend that every 6 months than you shouldn't be hobbying IMHO >> anonymous STD testing> http://goo.gl/o1Scv6 T34TU2 saves you 10%

If you want to get tested and make sure you are anonymous, here is what I did:
Go to http://myprivatelabs.com. You can sign up under a fake name online, they send you paperwork under that name that you take to a local lab (labcorp) and on the paper work it tells the lab to not ask for ID. Lab send the results back to your account online for you to look at.

I work for a doctor office and I am screened regularly, no one likes to admit they have cooties or have had them but let’s take a moment to be honest. I had cooties from people I slept with in my personal life (all curable thank God) and I have had 0 since being in the “hobby”. I am proud to say since being an adult, over 18 I have been STD free and since I know the risks I take, I keep my paperwork
