trans sexuals?

first off i would like to hear others experiences with someone who identifies themselves under the umbrella term 'transexual'. i really think this new surge in people coming out with gender identity issues is great and what really opened my mind was watching dallas buyers club lol. i dont think i have ever met someone who is trans but the other day i saw a provider describing themselves as a 'tranny' which is really cool. i love all people regardless of biological assigned sex and am not to familiar with all the other classifications of each gender but i took a look at facebook gender options (all 51) and apparently there are quite a few options. if you have any experience or jst want to pipe in feel free.
