I hope Female Hobbyist was able to help you and frankly I don't understand why our local boys aren't more involved or helpful. Regardless, here is my take - just one guy's opinion.

DTC - Hugely popular most likely due to the surrounding affluence. Lots of hotels and restaurants but a huge pain in the ass (Imho) traffic wise and you will need a car to go anywhere.

Downtown - Very, very vibrant. Lots of action and lots of hotels and great restaurants. Safe and easy to walk.

Cherry Creek - Lots of restaurants and shopping, very upscale but limited lodging. Safe and walkable. JW Marriott is great but elevators are card keyed.
