Best WNY steak?

OK.... someone mentioned Ruth's Chris. I think I saw one in Niagara Falls ON by the new casino / Hilton? (I've heard that Brasa is supposed to be good for carnivores as well lol)

Most expensive steak I've had around here is at Seneca Niagara's Western Door. (And yes, it was pretty good.) So you can compare to that if you like. Other than that, have only been to the Texas Road House and the Buffalo Road House (?) on the Blvd. Outback too of course. Ah, I've had Prime Rib at the Red Osier (sp?) Where was it West Seneca it Batavia or some shit..... I have yet to sample the Buffalo Chop House either.

Sorry I've only lived here a couple years now so I screw up local favorites names and locations.... but...

Short of starting another poll, where is the best place to get a NY Strip or T-bone at? Let's keep it within 30min of Buffalo please.....
I like Russell's on Transit Road in Lancaster. Chop House is also good.

You wouldn't think of this place for steak, but I had a bone in rib-eye at Lombardo's on Hertel Ave that melted my mouth off it was so good. It was a special, not sure you can count on that day to day, but that, Hyde Park (now closed) and Ruth's (out of WNY) are best three steaks I've had in the last decade.

I have been to the Chop House several times.....food is great but pricy. Better steaks other places i'm sure. Russells is also very good. Probably best steak i've ever had was at Charlie's in Orlando or The Cut in Vegas. Oh yes EB Greens here is top notch too!
Longhorn Steakhouse is pretty good. Been there a couple times. It's relatively new and right across from Galleria Mall. They also have an Orchard Park location.

Friars Table used to be pretty good in the past but there I usually go for the prime rib which used to be the best in WNY. Not sure if this is still the case.

Best steak, Oliver's (I know, it's not a steak place)
Ruth's Chis is great, never been to the one in the Falls, but I hear the waitresses are beyond hot.
Brasa has an ex stripper/personal trainer tending bar, very hot.
Russell's, Chop House, and E.B. Green's all suck. The strip steaks anyway, they look like they should be great, but are tuff. Russell's is some pre-packed, pre seasoned, coated, processed thing, yuck. If you have to go to any of these three, get a Filet, it's hard to fuck up one of those.
Oh yeah, Texas Roadhouse on Young St. City of Tonawanda is a great bang for the buck.
Best bang for the buck in Canada is The Keg. But go to St. Catharines, the one in Fallsview charges extra because of their location.
The Red Osier is in Leroy, decent prime rib, not as good as Friar's Table (if they still exist).
I'm a filet guy, and I think the best one is at the Western Door. The best filet I EVER had was actually at the Roycroft Inn in East Aurora at a class I took. One of those steaks that you could cut with a spoon....so good. But I went again and it sucked. Try the chophouse, you'll like it. Longhorn is good too, but a lot cheaper.

I was unaware that there was a Ruth's Chris in the falls. I am a big fan , especially for a chain, of RC. I always go to one in a city while traveling , if there is one to be found. I have probably been to at least a dozen different RC locations and had one subpar steak in Orlando. All the rest have been great, including other visits in Orlando. I will say that in all my RC visits, I have never seen a waitress. They have universally been staffed by a very professional group of waiters. If the falls RC has hot waitresses too, now there is one more reason to go there.
I'm a prime rib guy. Friar's Table was pretty good, but was closed recently "until further notice". Now I go to the Red Mill Inn in Clarence for prime rib.

I agree the Western Door at Seneca Niagara has good steaks. Unfortunately, it is quite noisy because of the wide openings facing the casino floor.
Chop House Rib-eye, med-rare hands down the best. They also de-shell the crab for you. Also they have some of the best creamed corn I have ever had.

Longhorn Steakhouse by Galleria has pretty good prime rib also.
Fiamma's on hertel has really good steaks
