notell question

In a previous lifetime, an ex-girlfriend and I used to frequent the south loop inn for lunchtime and after work fun. It is a standard Patel style inn which is still there 15 years later. The 2nd floor rooms were standard cheap motel rooms. But the first floor - the rooms were decorated with nude murals of mermaids or forest nymphs painted in fluorescent paint, and the ceilings were flecked with fluorescent paint, so when you hit the black light switch next to the bed everything glowed and you had a ceiling of stars. And free porn on the tv. Sleazy and tacky yes, but since we were there to do sleazy and tacky things to each other it kind of gave it the feeling of an adult sex playground.

the question is, are there any places around nowadays that so openly cater to adult activities? It seems like everything has gone underground as Houston keeps getting more conservative.

Way back when I was using notels (before I lasciviously located to my amorous apartment), the Palace Inn near Bush off the Beltway also had first floor rooms with black lights (made my white lace lingerie POP) and colorful murals of mythic creatures on the ceilings and walls, very artistically done, actually. Been several years since I last visited, however.
Yes scottish inn does!
Painted murals..porn...mirrors covering walls and ceilings not to mention u cant beat the average hourly price they offer!
I appreciate the replies, I'll check some of these out.

Just if you call attention to yourself

I've asked cops to move their car more than once at these places just so I could park or leave.
Never had an issue. There are legitimate reasons to rent a room believe it or not.
If I'm drinking on the other side of town and have a few too many, I'll get a room for a few hours rather than risk a DWI. If I'm going out after work and don't have time to run home, I'll get a room just to shower and change clothes. OP said himself that he used to get a room with his RW GF. There's nothing wrong or illegal about renting a room. Cops should have better things to do than to watch Palace Inn hoping to catch a hooker checking in.
