Last meal at the Turtle Club...........

Well got in one last steak night on Wednesday and a Pork Chop night Thursday at the Turtle Club on Clear Lake. And as always, it was good.

Clear Lakes landmark floating tavern is closing it's doors after tomorrow night for good.

It has been an hang out of mine since the 1980s.

The owner has sold the property where it is docked, having one last invitation only blow out on NYE night, then it will be gone. The barge itself either to a buyer or to the scrap yard.

If any of you want one last bushwhacker, cold beer or a shot, get it today or tomorrow afternoon.

It will be missed.............

^^^^^ he didn't invite you nye?

I will not be in town this weekend, leaving out tomorrow morning. Got my chance to say bye to the regulars and staff I know yesterday. May be back for the auction though.
It sucks.

Well, drats, bats, cats chasing rats! Wish I had read this thread last week. I've heard the Turtle's name mentioned many times with kudos, and was excited when a gent in Clear Lake indicated we might go there for something special, like Valentine's, but guess not, now.

I hate to see these old, well-established, atmospheric, one-owner places close up. We have enough chain restaurants and drive-ins, already!
