No, she shouldn't have upped the rate, but there are safer, more appropriate forums (well, like THIS one, for example) to report her upsell. Calling the police could've gotten him arrested, too (and may yet for solicitation), and I guess he's single and self-employed, as he evidently has no concern about repercussions with his family and job. All his personal info will come out if this is carried through.
I think most providers, on ECCIE at least, do have other options. This is what I've CHOSEN to do, not what I have to do. I'm obviously an educated, intelligent woman (as are many professional companions) who could look elsewhere for employment, but this is more lucrative that a regular 9-5 gig, plus I get to choose my own hours and what, as well as who, I wish to do. If all you want is streetwalker, have at her.
