Meet for a drink? Dinner date or both ?

Just curious as to what you guys and girls feel about meeting for a drink or dinner date before the main event?

I find these work well for me as they really give a break the Ice period to get that out in the open! Meeting in a public place first seems to be safer as both parties can assess the other better! Whether an in or outcall. I always find them enjoyable but that's just me
Another question is cost ? Should it be the normal hour fee? A reduced rate? Or no charge based on prelude to the grand event?

I also like them, whether reduced cost or hourly rate I would expect to pay for her time. I don't think it should be expected to be free based on a prelude to the main event. After all, you're not paying for the "main event", but for her time.

ive been told by 1 or 2 no go unless its the reg hr rate just based on problems they had with prior experiences
but then Ive had some that said no problem...but when we got close to the appt time...they blew it off and we didnt meet
I love dinner dates but never for a first meeting. Meeting for a drink prior is fine but that is part of your time. I'm happy to sit someplace private and chat, that is why I have a 90 minute date. But at the end of the day, your time begins (and I get paid in full) when I arrive. What you choose to do with that time is up to you
I have had several dinner dates, but it was with providers I had met prior, and it was multi hr
Oh I'm sure ill get blasted for this but I do not go out in public with a client unless it is within the realm of possibility that we could actually be dating. May/December is one thing, being really conspicuous is another.
I don't know why you'd get blasted for that Lilianna, many ladies won't be seen in public with a client at all . . .

Seems like a really bad idea to me. It just confuses everything. If you're looking for a girlfriend, don't look for an escort. If you're looking for a safe encounter, check out boards like this and look at the reviews.

Lilly, I agree with you.

I have only done dinner when I have had an overnight date. In those cases it was part of the total package anyway. Beyond that I don't think it would be a good idea.

I love dinner dates...its great to have a chance to really talk to a person first, it really builds anticipation for what's to come... I don't give a discount based on whether we where we will be spending time but I do give discounted rates for the more hours booked.

All good points and well taken. I think each situation should be taken on its own merit and whether you do or dont depends on the individuals involved. Like I said I personally like the idea of meeting in a public place as despite the screening and being active on a board such as this it still seems safer to meet face to face to dissolve the mystery. To each his own. As far as cost goes, I dont have any problem paying the extended hour fee as its worth the getting to know someone this way. Im not confusing dating with escorting as I do both!

I am not a big fan of dinner before BCD. A drink or two is fine, fun, and fantastic.

Afterwards, if we connect and there is mutual interest, I am happy to take a lady out for dinner or her favorite lunch. It won't happen if she wants me to pay her to watch her eat.
