This Will Be A Fascinating Election

We may have to throw strategery out. If this bunch gets on the ballot and runs a credible candidate, and if Ron Paul runs on the Libertarian ballot, all bets are off.

Remember Ross Perot. He hated George H. W. Bush so much that he insisted on carrying out his 3rd Party Candidate run, giving President Clinton the Election with only 42 percent of the popular vote. Demographics showed that the votes that Perot got were 80 percent drawn from the Republicans.

I respect Ron Paul for his convictions, but a third party candidate will only draw votes away from the Republican Candidate, insuring President Obama re-election, probably with about that same 42 percent.

When it gets down to just a few thousand votes one way or another in key swing states, this would be the Democrats biggest dream come true.

Of course, that might be the Grand Scheme. If we can't get a true Consevative Candidate, just let President Obabma have it for another 4 years, and hope for the best. Keeping controle of the House is really more important at this time.

If Ron Paul wants President Obabma to win re-election, then by all means run as a 3d party Candidate.

What I'm saying is, if this America Elects group gets off the ground, and they appear to be serious, there is no way to predict the election. Ron Paul would take votes away from Romney, but the America Elects guy (or gal) would probably diminish the vote for Obama.

If Ron Paul is the Libertarian candidate, Obama will be elected. But if it is a four way race, it could get very interesting.
Poor conservabots. Nobody crazy enough to vote for.....

I'm not complaining, but it will be fun to watch. It increases the likelihood that the election may wind up in the House of Representatives.
