the hobby and politics and personal preferences

this pissed me off
(yes I CAN get pissed off lol)

I went to buy a table off fb marketplace from a gent...we had it set and a few hours before i was going over to pick it up,he text me and asked me if i was a christian and if i voted for Trump... he said he only does business w christians who voted for Trump!
wel i told him that i was a christian and if i HAD voted for trump then I wouldnt be true to my beliefs in MY christianity!!!
he wrote back and say he was giving his business to a REAL christian who voted for trump!
i told him to go fu&k himself....so he blocked me on fb marketplace!!

I have heard from one provider friend who says that a good regular that she had been seeing for 8 years quit seeing ger cause she was not a trump supporter

and another provider told me she reguses to see guys 25 lbs or more overweight

and another provider told me that she quit seeing a minister cause it messed w ger spiritual conscience

Got me to thinking
has your beliefs in anything.. or preferences..caused you to change the way you hobby or who you hobby with?
any crazy experiences??

One of my favorite providers has polar opposite beliefs from me. It has come up a time or two, but it's no biggie. Another person who is temporarily retired spent the whole time talking the upcoming election, covid, and money conspiracy theories. I was there for a freaking hand job! If she does return I doubt that I will see her again. And yes, if she had been talking left wing conspiracy stuff I'd probably avoid her as well. Political talk doesn't really get me in the mood.

I dont care who you or anyone else votes for.. we all can have our opinions
but the hobby should be a place we can just get along and have a good time behind closed doors...some things are just political

Im not really into politics and only vote if I have nothing better to do, but between the shitty stock market, crypto crashing and lumber/gas/food prices soaring I'm kind of starting to miss the last guy!

But hey, at least less people are getting their feelings hurt.

then he told me that i was not a christian cause i didnt support trump and that i better get right w god ...and that i was headed to the wrong place cause of my political stand(or unstand) and not voting for trump

thn he blocked me

maybe i handled it wrong but it perturbed me cause it jyst all came out of the blue!

and i will add
i didnt vote for trump ior biden lol

i keep my political beliefs to myself as much as i can!

i dont like talking politics and try to avoid it as much as possible

i am just here in life for a good time!!!!

I have very strong beliefs.
I don't believe in fucking ugly women.
I don't believe in fucking bitchy women, I can get that at home for free.
After that I believe in minding my own business.
Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if more people followed that last one?

i used to be a ministers wife but got tired of the hypocrasy and legalistic views of some churches
and even though i sin every day in one way or another,i still have my beliefs in my heart and believe in forgiveness

as most people know.. i try to be as drama free as pissible.. and am really a sweet nice gal

A lot of lip service is paid to being a good Christian. I haven't been to a church in years, but if all the hours, blood, and sweat I've given to my neighbors in need is going to be judged less favorably than an hour a week sitting in a pew and voting for a single issue, then I don't want to get past that gate anyway.

Let's just leave politics and religion out of the hobby
Hobbyn is supposed to be fun for a client and a income for a provider

I have a cousin who has a Phd in Political Science, teaches at a University and is about as far Left as you can get. Me, I'm a retired auto technician (more like mechanic!)that has held a job since I was 12. This cousin periodically likes to talk down to me since he knows I'm a Conservative. I try to ignore him, especially at family get-togethers but on Mother's Day he pushed me to "Critical Mass"! After one his usual diatribes, I told him that I totally disagreed with everything he had just said, But I also respected his right to say it. In fact, I said, I went into the Army, while you went to Canada. I'm willing to fight for your right to say the drivel that you say. Now, would you do the same for me.... I think not....All you and your cancel culture friends can do is yell and scream at anyone that doesn't think like you... God forbid!!! It was then that his wife decided that it was time for them to leave! Gotta love a smart woman!!!!
