I use use check a lot not only to pay bills and I put them all in blue boxes. Which have heard is dangerous.

Mom exclusively uses checks with no online presence and recent attempted fraud on her account. So yes it happens. But online presence with online banking just as easier or easier to get info so no one is safe. Just check statements and have alerts on where possible is all you can really do. Don’t be stupid and share your info of course. Banks and CC are pretty good at sniffing out suspicious activity it seems these days. and will alert you.
