Police officers shot in Georgia and outside St. Louis.

BALLWIN, Mo. –A day after five officers were shot and killed in Dallas, two have been shot in separate states.
A police officer has been shot in a suburb of St. Louis.
KMOV-TV reports the officer was shot around 11:10 a.m.
The officer has been taken to local hospital.
No other details have been made available.

The officer was wounded, as was the shooter.
Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokesman Scott Dutton says one of the shots hit the officer in the abdomen, just below his protective vest.
Other shots hit the officer’s vest.
Both men are expected to survive.
