Docs has great crab cake burgers and other items. Scuttlebutts also has a very wide selection of everything with great specials til 7. Snoopy's is alright but they are cash only which I hardly carry. Plus Docs is right next door and they take cards and give a military discount so win win for me. I haven't gone out for steaks specifically but if it's beef you want then Padre Island Burger Company has amazing hamburgers.

Getting away from dinner ideas there is Atomic omelet for of course omelette. Then Hester's Cafe is a great atmosphere little brunch place or Small Planet for a local deli type eatery.
I agree with Scuttlebutt"s. Great oysters and boiled shrimp and the Ahi tuna will make u slap your grandma!

I'll be in town with Alluring Angel and we've actually become pretty competitive on finding top notch (or at least tastes as such, not so much atmosphere but the taste/quality is important) with one another.

I myself was raised by a chef and she was married to one at one time.
So, needless to say we are food snobs. <Laughing>

I'm already hungry reading about that crab cake burger! OMG!!!
Great suggestions. I like the Padre Island Burger Company. I think I had fish tacos there once.

Welcome EroticEden!

I went to Snoopy's the first month I got here, which was a year ago, and they were cash only but had an ATM inside. Tried again a month later and still cash only and both times it takes like a more expensive Captain D's so I never went back. Both them and Doc's seem more like a tourist type place anyway but the deck seating at Doc's has a nice view.

Some people really like Harris' Landing over at the Marina and Landry's as well but never been to either. If you want high chef quality food you might consider The Republic of Texas on the top floor of the Omni.

Pier 99 on Shoreline Blvd.

Most of the above-mentioned are local greats. I disagree about Snoopy's, however, being only for tourists. While many tourists dine there, many of the Padre Island residents (I have a lot of family out there) dines there regularly.

For Steaks: Republic of Texas, Niko's, and Katz 21 should do you right. For Seafood, if you want cuisine style then Bleu Bistro or Water St. Seafood Co. Fried type stuff, Snoopy's or Saltwater Grill. Someone already mentioned Scuttlebutt's, which is going to be a pleaser no matter what you're in the mood for.
