2 Decades Of American Blood and Treasure Gone Almost In Minutes, Thanks Joey Bibs!

Kabul is about to fall along with the rest of Afghanistan. Get ready for the horror of retribution of the people who assisted us get slaughtered. Was it inevitable? Maybe. But the speed of which this takeback is happening I doubt would be happening under Trump's watch.

Now a return to the good old days of soccer stadium executions.

Thanks Dims. Thanks Taliban. Thanks Squad. Coming to a stadium near you.

For those not old enough to remember the Fall of Saigon... this is how we roll.

Honestly, we will probably never be able to convince another civilian populace to work with US armed forces again because we've pretty much proven that we will dump them by the roadside to be offed by our enemies at some point.

The whole thing was a waste of time anyway... we should have just bombed that shithole into rubble and then made the rubble bounce with more bombs. As for Bin Laden, a Tactical nuke dropped on Tora Bora when we had the chance would have sent the proper message... alternately dropping one on any capital city that supported those camel jockies would have worked too... goodbye Islamabad and Riyadh!
So what are we supposed to do? Stay in region for 10 more years? 20 years is enough. It doesn't mean we don't have intel on activity that we can destroy at will from a distance.

What we should’ve done is crush them from day one, but the civilian leadership and the pentagon, along with the public, didn’t have the stomach for it.

When does the letter from 137 former generals saying leaving is gonna be the end of mankind get published? I guessed they changed their minds since it’s not President Trump advocating getting out.

Biden was warned this would happened. We need to hold all the generals accountable when the carnage restarts.

We should just accept the fact that we lost.
To "crush" them also means killing many innocent bystanders. This looks very bad and does nothing to help relations. The Taliban and Al Queda are very hard to spot. It isn't like they wear a helmet that says they are the enemy.

Obama was unable to end the war due to Taliban taking over cities. This continued for 4 years under Trump. Trump's deal with the Taliban was to pull out by May 2021. It is long past that. It is never a good situation over there, you can't win.

On another note, did anyone see the movie "12 Strong"? Interesting based on a true story about the war just after 9/11.

Basically it is like the wild wild west there. Mountains, never know who your friends/foes are. Pretty much have to treat everyone as enemy.

Troops better stop surrendering and fight to the death.

We’ve been pulling outta Afghanistan for at least a decade, unsuccessfully. We need out.

It's similar to Vietnam. There, we were fighting communism. We lost. Vietnam is now a communist country.

I'm pretty certain Afghanistan will be a fundamentalist Islamic state. The Taliban is simply stronger than those, in Afghanistan, who fight it.

Much as we'd like to, we can't save everyone.

KIAs have been pretty consistent under Trump and Obama.
