Time lapse when responding to texts

How long is the window of opportunity for a girl to respond to a text? To maintain discretion, many do not want a girl to respond hours later. However, I don't want someone to think I'm completely ignoring them if I never get back to them. Interested in hearing from both men and women.

I schedule in advance so getting back a few hours later is fine for me. Same day appts are very rare in my world as time is needed for....let's call it "planning"

I assume providers have lives outside of this, they are not starring at theirs phones patiently awaiting my texts.

BBG -- All my girls know that they can text me at any time -- but I make that clear to them up front... AND... I always state that when I meet a new girl....
But then again... I'm a "model" hobbyist....

Try to plan ahead. If someone doesn't bother to return at all it makes me think twice before I try again. Late is definitely better.

If I have an unanswered message out to a lady, the Im expecting a reply and it can come hours or a day later, thats fine to me. Unsolicited messages, where the girl reaches out first, Id prefer that only happen w a regular, or a travelling girl Ive seen before since Bing trips are few and car between.
At one point in my life I had to have total discretion... But if I texted, I would give an acceptable window of call back (within the hour)to prevent detection by eyes a text should not reach. These days.. If I text, and don't get quick response I will leave another message letting you know to text me anytime so you won't feel awkward or worried to return my message later.
I hope this helps... I also hopes it helps fellow hobbiest to potentially avoid that embarrassing text while your at dinner with the wife and kids

Great thread BBG! I panic when this happens! I work and sleep really weird hours too. I usually put in my ads that if they don't leave a screen name and time frame to call back in I won't call back for discretion. I usually give it an hour or two at the most unless it's a regular I know wants me to get back to them. I'm also weird about texting out of the blue. I know a lot say to let them know when I'm back in town or have a gf with me but I feel like I'm soliciting or being a pain in the ass.
I always include what time you can respond until in my text.

wasn't ever pussy whipped not even with a ring on my finger. text or call anytime.
When I used to do solo I didn't reply if the text was older than 1h.

Generally I've found the gents whom this is an issue for will usually say "don't text back after 4" etc.

If they don't, I respond when I see it then. If I'm unsure, I just say "hey"

I also do this with my "heads up" texts when traveling. I send out "hey" to the clients I've met in that city and wait for their response. If they ask "who is this?", I say "this is Tori, is this Chris? Maybe I have the wrong number"... using a male name that I know isn't theirs. Incase it's the so responding.

So far that's seemed to work fine. Unfortunately I can't keep track of everyone's texting preferences so this is my system but I tell them to let me know if it's an issue. Only one guy has, so I deleted his number completely so I wouldn't text him again before my next trip on accident.

I do all of my pre-trip heads up communication via email or PM because I don't want to be randomly texting clients.

Yeah text just works best for me in general. I tell them to tell me if it's an issue, so far other than that one guy who's number I just deleted, no issues.
