Since restrictions are being lifted,I'm jonesing for a road trip down south...so I'm coming to Dallas this week... I will of course be observing any restrictions still in place...so my question is
What's the first thing your gonna do?

I am gonna visit my Texas family a few days and hopefully help my mom move into her new apartment..

I'm hoping the parks will be open for picnics and
I'm hoping restaurants will be open for dining,...I miss eating out!

I just Hope life gets back to normal..or as normal as it can be, lol

I hope everyone has fared well....what's been occupying your time since this crazyness started? Have you been playing or laying low?
What's your opinion on this crazyness? Is it really as bad as we are told?

I had a special mask made just in case and will wear it if it's required.
Enjoy urself, have fun, help ur Mom, don’t live in fear, just use common sense!!!

Lol thanks
I got all my stuff n toys sterilized and got a can of Lysol packed.. I for one don't get too worked up and overly fearful, but I am cautious'.

My mom is 88 and she is so bored...all she's been doing is staying home cause the senior center where she went daily closed cause the pandemic!

I hear that Dallas malls will be opening up...what's news on the parks? I researched but got conflicting reports.

Just because we are in the first stages of re-opening, that doesn't mean the virus read the news and is disappearing like the people want. I don't advocate running scared, but still be VERY careful. You certainly don't want to be in too big a crowd with no masks, no gloves, etc and take something home to your Mom.
Just had a friend's son come down with this crap on Wednesday. He is a big strapping healthy man of about 40. In a 45 minute period of time he went from no symptoms to being totally incapacitated. Trouble breathing and could not even lift his head. He is getting better after 4 day but if he gave it to his Dad (75 with lungs that are already fucked) ---------????? To me that's the ultimate problem. Not whether you get it or not but who do you pass it on to.
Just be careful Dallas - you wouldn't want it on your conscience.

i am still seeing old friends who continue to visit me----
as of Sunday May 3--Dallas county (population 2.8 million)
has 4133 cases, 111 deaths (mostly elderly)
very glad people are able to move freely again--
-using caution, but at least not imprisoned at home

It looks like with the R0 of 3 - 3.5, herd immunity should start around 65%. So that’s about 215M Americans getting infected. Even if you take the lower end if the mortality rate of 0.5%, that’s over one million deaths in the US. A LOT of people have reason to fear.
