It just won't go away, secession

Now we have movements in Colorado, Maryland, and California where parts of the state want to secede from the state government. Now we get word that California wants to go further, they want to divide into six states. There are many benefits for each section to vote for this partitian.
1. Both LA and San Fransisco can get rid of those red necks that are dragging them down man.
2. Silicone Valley, the originator, will get to change tax laws.
3. East and Jefferson will not be responsible for the reckless spending of both LA and San Fransisco.
4. The smokers (not tobacco) up north will probably won't notice anything.

Well, a California breakup will put a WHOLE lot of electoral votes into play.

The GOP will no longer have to spot the Democrats a 55 vote lead in the Electoral College in every Presidential election.

Even if the GOP loses CA by 55-45%, they should still get at least 20 electoral votes to the democrats 35. So the deficit will only be about 25 votes.

But secession isn't going to happen. Period.
