What's the differences?

I especially love to see those courtesans who can't even make the national average.... Originally Posted by London RayneIs there some kind of agreed upon national average? Also, I assume touring is extremely financially lucrative, or else so many women wouldn't do it. So the amount of touring someone is willing to do would make a difference as well.
To put this in a different way, all our actions have a price. It is we who decide at what point we agree to be bought. As in the story of a conversation between a very sophisticated gentleman and a very respectable lady at a party. They are talking about prostitution, “Well,” says the gentleman, “just for the sake of our argument, suppose I offered you $1000—would you spend the night with me?” The lady, smiling coquettishly: “Who knows—I might very well!” The gentleman: “Now suppose I offer you $10 for the night?” The lady: “But what do you think I am?” The gentleman: “We’ve already established what you are. Now we’re just haggling over the price.”
All the words have the same meaning. They're ladies who sell sex acts to men and women. Originally Posted by shortyGenerally true Shorty, unless your on the high(er) end with a "courtesan." So true on both counts. I can say from experience that with a sugar daddy, things are a bit different. We don't have sex every time we get together, but he also does not drop an envelope, at all. If we are strictly talking about women who advertise on the net, have a website that offers an hour, two hours, etc. that is not the same thing as a true sugar baby. A true sugar baby, does not advertise on hooker boards unless she is like me, and plays both sides of the fence.Things are different with a SB and that's a whole different realm with a true SD/SB relationship. That's a whole different concept than the traditional Escort, SW, Courtesan deal.
If you're charging by the hour, it's deluded to advertise as a courtesan...that much, is obvious.
So, although there are vast differences between an escort and a sugar baby, there are not that many variations in the style of the typical hourly escorts who use venues such as this to advertise. The only difference is in the package and the wording.
I think common sense tells us that most escorts who use the net, would never walk the track or do car jobs, but when you get into the comparison of a high end escort and a courtesan, it is a bit more complicated to define.
Are there differences in all the labels in the OP? Most certainly, but there are also differences in the individual without the label too. Originally Posted by London Rayne

Ok, to me the titles are used to describe 'how' the girl runs her business.
Streetwalker: Like the name suggest is a girl that walks the street selling sexual favors for money. i.e. $20 for a blow job, $40 intercourse, etc.
Hooker: To me, I've always thought the term was reserved for women that pick up men in bars. I've always admired their abilities to turn a conversation into a business opportunity. I've never been able to do that. I knew a girl who was a high dollar "courtesan" who, for a change of pace, picked up a guy at the bar we were in NYC together with such ease. Hooking at it's finest.
Escort: To me this is someone that "escorts" you to dinner, a movie, the theater, a night on the town and then goes back to your room and has sex.
Call Girl: A girl that you "order up" like pizza. She comes to your room and has sex and leaves.
Provider: While this covers all the women in every category, it can also describe the girls that sit in their "incall" location waiting for their client to show up and have sex with him.
Courtesan: Another name for an escort (in my definition of an escort). Someone you date for money. Form a bond and friendship with in an intimate setting. Share more than your body with.
Travel Companion: This one best describes the majority of my business. A girl you can travel with, take on vacation, have in your room after your meetings when you travel for a conference or business trip, etc. Basically an escort (using my definition) for muli-day encounters.
