Best Road Trip Songs

I love a good road trip, no matter the time of year! My favorite part of any trip is cranking my music up, dancing in my seat, and belting out the lyrics of my favorite songs without fear of being judged. I'll pull up on people at a red light, look right at them and continue rocking out. I'm working on my playlist for my drive up to NWA and some of my favorite travel songs going on it are...

1. Cheap Thrills by Sia & Sean Paul
2. No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems by Kenny Chesney
3. Bye Bye Bye by *NSYNC
4. Gin N' Juice by Snoop Dogg
5. Green Light by Pit bull

What are 5 songs that you need on your road trip playlist?
1. Whiskey in the Jar - Metallica or Thin Lizzy
2. Just a Friend - Biz Markie
3. Learn to Fly - Foo Fighters
4. Caribou Lou - Tech N9ne
5. Second Chance - Shinedown
I love a lot of the older songs for my playlist. I am a child of the 80's. Here is my list:
"Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake
"Born to Be Wild" by Steppenwolf
"Don't Stop Believin'" by Jounrey
"Small Town" by John Mellencamp
"Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N' Roses
drive my car , the beatles
california dreamin, the mamas and the papas
great balls of fire, jerry lee lewis
johnny b goode, chuck berry
stuck in the middle with you, stealers wheel

not to mention a motown top 5

I have only one essential road trip song that I have to hear as I'm driving away from the house: Kraftwerk's "Autobahn".

The 22 minute, 43 second album version.

Cheers,

To add to this list, I have to ask you to imagine: you're driving through the Ozarks in a convertible. It's 3 PM, sunny, about 80 degrees. The top is down, wind in your hair, no other traffic. So my playlist:

"Take It Easy" - Eagles
"Carry On Wayward Son" - Kansas
"Don't Look Back" - Boston
"A Love Song (From a Different Point of View)" - Jimmy Buffet
"Free Bird" - Lynyrd Skynyrd (yes, it's a cliche)
#1 of all time

But even the pub on dickson had the house singing along one night. And it wasn't even the piano bar . And mostly under 30's
This may end up being my favorite thread ever. Forgive my rather random taste!

1. I and Love and You - the Avett Brothers
2. Go! - Common (Yes, I blare this one and sing along. It's pretty hilarious from a tiny blonde girl)
3. Lost in the World - Green River Ordinance
4. Partition - Beyonce' (I've been really digging it lately)
5. Start A Riot - BANNERS
