ACA - Expanded Medicaid Is Working in Arkansas

FYI: It's been working in Texas for years (before Obaminable got elected).

Texas had advertised for years to get kids signed up, and include the requirement in orders affecting the parent-child relationship (get private or public, but get it!). Health care for kids is considered "child support" in Texas, and a parent can be jailed for not providing it.

Around 10 percent of the population has benefited from the ACA just like 10 percent of the population benefits from a belief in Santa Claus.

No one is going to kill Santa Claus and disappoint the 10%

Read the details:

GAO Bombshell: HHS Cooked The Books To Expand Obamacare In Arkansas.

The Administration ignored the advice of its own actuaries who questioned the program’s costs. In addition, internal e-mails reveal that state officials knew the expansion would prove costly and unpredictable, but pushed forward anyway. Now Private Option costs are exploding and taxpayers everywhere are on the hook....

The Arkansas ObamaCare expansion has been and will continue to be a financial and political disaster for all involved. And if the Obama Administration is willing to break its own rules in order to push through ObamaCare expansion, just imagine what other rules they might be willing to bend or break in order to save it. Arkansas lawmakers would be wise to locate all of the emergency exits; this ObamaCare experiment is taking a nosedive.

Hutchinson called for a two-year extension of the private option in its current form, as a new task force will consider possible changes to the program.
"This avoids harm to the 200,000-plus in the private option, and it assures our hospitals and providers of financial stability," said Hutchinson, whose speech referenced several personal stories of those who've been aided by the coverage expansion. "The human side tugs at our heartstrings and is rightfully part of the debate," he said.

No one said that the Affordable Care Act is cheap. It is a Trillion Dollar Expense. Part D that was implemented by Bush is a 800 billion expense.

The federal government picks up 100% the cost of the expanded Medicaid the first couple years and then it picks up 90% of the cost afterwards.

In the state of Arkansas, 200,00 plus citizens who fall in the income range of family of 4 that makes less than $24,000 are getting the benefit.

You claimed two weeks ago that Obama's policies hurt poor people, now you claim that the cost of providing the benefit is too much.

You have IBH disease, all you do is talk in circles.

Apparently, you have accepted the mind set that only Obaminable can help you.

Gruber was talking to you and later on about you.

Texas has not needed the Federal government to spoon feed it. You do.

Of course, if you would go get a job that provided benefits you would have insurance coverage ... .probably a "Cadillac policy"!!!! But you'd rather be a parasite.

As to your second question one must carve out Union members and Government employees (Federal, State, and Local) to determine how many people have either lost their jobs due to increased health care premium costs to employers or those who have lost their health care coverage with employers due to the increased premium costs.

Of those employees who still maintain health coverage with private employers one must determine if their co-pays and premiums have increased. Most have .... in fact all of the people who are employed with health care coverage with whom I have contact have complained ... and many have complained that their hours have been reduced below 30 so they will not have to be provided coverage by the employer.

Most of the numbers of ACA participants you see tossed around are either "hits" on the sites or those who "sign up" .... The stats you usually don't see are the ones who don't pay their premiums and so they are not really covered by ACA.

If you recall not too long ago Obaminable's Administration "waived" premiums during an "extended" sign up period to increase THE APPEARANCE of SUCCESS.

BTW: Who all has had to pay taxes on the grants for insurance premiums?

And the only response ACA Apologists can give is ... "Bullshit"!
What is "working" again? Oh yeah, an overwhelming number of people signed up for free shit that the rest of us can't afford.

In other words......Private Option in Arkansas is based on a lie, was put in place by a Democrat who was told it wouldn't work, isn't working now, will bankrupt taxpayers, and it will have to be structurally reformed. The current governor is being responsible and continuing the program, but has promised reforms.

Have no doubt; structural reforms to Private Option is coming.

There is no end to the foolish, irresponsible behavior of liberal think and what you consider a success.

I don't think you've spoken the truth in any post you've made in this thread. You certainly haven't provided any citations.
