The question is, "are they dangerous?". Submarine sailors all wear film badges to measure radiation. Most of them get less radiation than someone who lives in a sunny climate. We all get radiation to some small degree. It is the amount and the type that is important.
Ya'll were around during the 50's and 60's when the USA had above ground nuke tests? Ever wonder what the radiation fallout levels were then?
