Real name and email? Ummmm, Nope. I guess some guys, or gals for that matter used RL info there. Dang!!!
I wasn't on that site, I swear. But from what I heard you have to pay with a credit card. I guess those guys never heard of pre-paid ones, I don't know.
I remember when the Canal Street Brothel got busted and they had a list of clients that went there. I remember thinking "Why in the hell would anyone EVER use their real name and give personal info to a whore house?". I still wonder why.
At least on here, there's some semblance of safety. Yeah, a provider could f-ck you over if they wanted too, but it seems pretty rare and I'm sure there would be an alert posted if it did happen.
The divorce lawyers are drooling and chomping on the bit.
Its deep shit city.
People are paranoid over Ashley Madison.
Even if there was a hack, unless someone was stupid enough to use their real name and email address when joining up here nobody would know who they were.
Credit cards are run through CC Bill and ECCIE has no record of the transactions.
Guys who have never made a post before are asking to be removed. Why? They have no trail and nobody knows they even exist. If nothing ties them to real life info there's no need.
Right on the money, Dave. I looked on Ashley Madison one time because a guy I worked with's wife was on there with her real face, not blurred, as a profile picture. She was REALLY pretty in the face but also WAY overweight. Dude I know that knows her said it was because hubby has a small dick. I'm not worried about the hackers. I used a bullsh-t email address I use for things like that.
Anyway, if I was to get caught cheating or using ECCIE by my SO, f-ck it. She should have been f-cking every once in a while.
I was thinking the same thing, Dave. Why not PM a MOD instead of blasting it.
Panic mode is the only reason I can see. Which is redundant, since its out there.
Its all very understandable IMO. Our society is vindictive and social media is petty....
If this helps according to this tech note vbulletin does not retain old user email addresses. If someone used a "real" email address to sign in, editing it later would remove the original one from the SQL database that stores all the information.
1. vB does NOT store old email addresses. Period.
2. Passwords are hashed and CANNOT be viewed or decrypted.
Is there a third question I missed?

Looking at the louisiana list and the Baton Rouge list I was stunned by how many dummies used their work emails or an email with their full name in it. It's completely shocking. Government emails, business emails, U.S. army emails, etc. A well known business owner when used his own business email that was his name@ his business. The credit cards and the names I get. The emails I do not.
How can you see the list?
It's been posted all over facebook which is where I saw it. There was a louisiana list and a Baton Rouge list. It lists: name, amount spent, address, email
Someone took the info from the main hack list and created these local lists. I personally think anyone who shared it, especially any media, is wrong. It's a hacked list and not public record nor verified. Anybody could add anyone's adress or email easily. I don't think anyone has, but it would be easy to do so, fake someone's name you didn't like. It's one thing for the hackers to do this. But another for media to share it.
What if P411 got hacked? Isn't that all REAL information?
I had a look at the list and some did use a pre-paid credit card but used an email address with their real name.
