Separate NWA from LR ads??

gntaltouch's Avatar
Would it be possible for the 2 major areas in Arkansas to be separated in the ads and forums? It is not always clear from the provider ads exactly where they are working... sometimes it is necessary to check out their showcase to find out where they are located.... I'm sure I'm not the only one who would benefit and it has probably been brought up before my time... but I just wanted to see if there was a chance this idea might be addressed in the future.

Thanks for your consideration....

I imagine the providers that float between the two areas would like to be able to advertise in each city forum if they transition mid week. I think it would be a big help.
I like your idea a lot, GntalTouch.
Yes,that would really be help !!
Good idea. I assume us being considered a "small state" works against us here but if Dallas can be separated from Fort Worth then LR can be separated from NWA which is much farther away.

And added bonus would be the NWA crowd wouldn't have to slum it with us second class citizens in the 501!
I can see separating the ads - though I think most providers make it pretty clear where they are working at a given time. I can't see separating the forums. We are already a small state and separating the forums just fractures our numbers, making for a much less viable board. In addition, many providers and some hobbyists move back and forth between the two areas. I like to keep up with what is going on and don't see a need to have to switch back and forth among forums.

I agree with Watchout. Separate the add sections, not the entire forum.

Look over there and check it out. Let me know what you think in this thread, and I will take it up with my weekly confessional with St. Chris.

This "small state" has more providers than most, looks like about 7th or so in the country. We have 82 right now (and that number has just recently gone down about 5 or 6), and OK has 111 and is separated. And it would remind the infrequent traveler that there's WAY more to Arkansas than Little Rock. I'm all for it.

I think the Oklahoma board is the best example instead of spitting up all sections, just split up the ad/review section
I look at the OK forum often and have no problem with that layout. But it's more along the lines of split ads and reviews, not split anywhere else. That last item is what I objected to.

Back to topic: I don't care how it's divided as long as I know the drive time is worth a QV. LOL
The setup of the Oklahoma forum is nice. I think Arkansas is fairly similar as far as being a state with 2 population centers that aren't close enough to be considered the same place.
I personally like the OK setup.
