Gentlemen! What do you expect from a Self-proclaimed "Companion"

I find this to be a very illusive term that potentially leaves too many back doors open to excuses for providing minimal services.

Please share your thoughts.

Without being a psychologist and getting into another person's head, it is really hard to define what one means by "companion". Now when I (as a hobbyist) see a provider advertise as a "companion", this is what I think and expect.

When I see companion, I think the provider is using the term as another way to say GFE in a more sophisticated manner. I also think that if she is going to use a $1 word (companion) as opposed to the .50 cent word (GFE); I tend to think her rates will be a bit more on the higher side.

When I see companion as being a euphemism for GFE, I expect GFE level of services. Cue the debate on what is GFE. At the bare minimum here are my expectations of someone who proclaims to be a "companion". I expect an upscale appearance-- well dressed; well groomed; could walk into a fancy restaurant and not look out of place. I expect an intelligent person who can engage in conversation that doesn't revolve around Billy Bubba's antics at the beer and pool hall the night previous. I expect some level of passionate kissing during the date. I expect a companion who is accommodating in terms of activities (within reason)-- DATY, BBBJ, MSOG and open to more than just missionary in terms of positions. To me companion means someone who is comfortable with me. This means we both know how the session is going to go without any surprise. Those are my expectations.

Cp-I couldn't have said it better.
First of all, I expect an hour of her time (more if she is being generous). If she leaves before the hour is up, then I've been cheated plain and simple.

I expect her to be intelligent, knowledgeable, and be able to string complete sentences together. I don't expect to debate the decade's issues with her, but I do expect her to carry on an intelligent conversation enough to break the ice.

Finally, I expect her not to laugh when she sees me naked.

I agree with CP. The only provider I've seen who advertised as a Companion fit what he said. I'm not saying everyone lives up to this, but from what I've seen, the term is less abused than GFE.

The word I choose depends on my mood that day. It makes no difference what you call yourself if your reviews back it up. I just think companion sounds better than whore, hooker, or escort so most choose to use that. Courtesan is a bit of a stretch.

The difference to me between GFE and Companion is marketing. Service and product usually the same caliber in my experience. The provider charging more or using Companion markets to a wealthier man and hence charges more.

It is kinda like buying Dasani water, it is merely filtered water ran through a filtration system and marketed to middle class and wealthier people. A person can buy a simple filter for the faucet and get the same thing. BUt buying Dasani is more prestigious, product is not different.

I have some $500 suits that look very good on me and I get compliments. I have some other suits I paid $1500 for and I do not get as many compliments. I am told the more expensive suit is better material, tailor fitted, and hangs better on me by the salesman. But reality is the more expensive suit is just that more expensive, I do not look any better in that suit, but it is more prestigious because it is a brand name. I am not into prestige or product lines as much anymore, to me just seems like a waste of money.

To contradict myself I am buying a Mercedes, lol. I do think it is a better car than a Toyota, but prolly just my mind BS me, so I feel better about spending that kind of money, lol.
