I once read her described as, "The thinking man's pin up". We will not see her like again.

One of the best ever seductive movie lines from her first starring role with Bogart:

"You know how to whistle don't you? Just put your lips together and blow."

Her voice had me hooked, even as a kid watching late night B&W movies on my little Admiral TV I was awestruck. I still prefer women with husky voices like Lauren Bacall.

R.I.P. Dear Lady.

She's one of a few that has an attitude that oozes with sexuality, no matter what age.

She was hot when young. I think the first movie started when she was even younger

She was 19 when she made 'To Have And Have Not' with Bogie. It was her first picture. She married him after his divorce was final. She was 20 and he was 40-somthing. They were married for about 17 years until his death to cancer.
Definitely one of a kind.
