Im not real familiar with the Houston area so can someone give me an idea general area for the best and safest area to stay in while Im here?

Almost any central location is great. The Galleria is hard to maneuver around during Christmas, but everyone knows where it is and it is provides a good central location.
Up north near willowbrook.

Galleria...It's a nice area, plus you can go shopping if you have any down time
