Is this now the norm?

So I contacted someone from Tryst (https://tryst.link/escort/gingertonic) (470-208-3333). Within the hour I had heard back, with her stating that "before you waste my time...I require a 25% deposit.

I replied, thanked her for her time, and politely declined because of the deposit, and wished her a good evening.

She immediately blows up the phone, calling me a timewaster (for two texts, I guess) and pathetic and stats that she is blocking me...as if I'll contact her again with her attitude.


So is this now the norm that deposits are required? Given how this hobby is, it's about a 50-50 chance that the meeting doesn't happen from the provider. I've been ghosted at the parking lot many times. Giving money for nothing seems like the worst decision ever.

I suppose there are enough people willing to pay it, but I'll happily pass. And with the attitude, I would advise anyone else to pass as well.

I would agree deposits are a red flag for me. I understand the thinking behind that but like you said it is a 50/50 chance the meeting even takes place.

It’s tough to say. I understand why you’d be hesitant to send any money but on the other side I’ve traveled an hour out without deposit and then didn’t hear back. It’s frustrating for both sides. Can we find someone to hold in an escrow? Lol wishful thinking

The problem is not the deposit here. The problem is your lack of discernment on who and who not to pay a deposit to. In my personal opinion, after your diligence had been done, if you have even the slightest inkling that she'll ghost after you pay a deposit, well then you simply shouldn't see her at all. Even without a deposit. I require a 25% deposit as well as a photo of you holding up your ID and employment verification. 98% of the people that contact me are politely and professionally turned away because of their unwillingness to comply with screening/deposit. However, even with the 2% of clients that I see I'm still doing 20k a month. That's not to brag. This money is invested in my advertising and other marketing means and it's reflected in everything that I do. Meaning, I can assure you that I don't have to scam you out of 75 bucks. Stop trying to see cheap ladies with low screening standards and you won't have this problem. That I can assure you.

I've done it once against my instincts because I try to understand the providers point of view. My experience was I sent the deposit then the provider said she never received it, in the end it was probbaly going to an account of her manager

I only require deposits for outcalls to make it more likely they are serious and not sending me to a fake place as it's happened in the past or for multi-hour appointments or if the texts take a weird turn and I feel like the person is playing games. The thinking that you should send a deposit just to inquire is a bit much... maybe she was having a bad day of people wasting her time on the phone. Happens to the best of us and that's when I put it on silent and go do something fun
